And I'm also sure that the coin is a fake because the first Trade Dollars were not made until 1873. There are no known errors where an entire digit in a date is incorrect.

The market is flooded with counterfeit dollar coins, most made in the Far East. Some of them are extremely good fakes and difficult to to detect, but far more of them have major goofs such as spelling errors and impossible dates or designs.

There are also counterfeits of other denominations. A few years ago some "Washington quarters" showed up on the West Coast. Yes, they looked like genuine quarters except for one little teeny-weeny detail: they were dated 1865, i.e. 100 years before the first of the current clad series and 67 years before the start of the Washington design. So just because they looked real didn't mean they were. Remember, a counterfeit is designed to trick all but the best experts.

Note that coins are MINTED, not "printed" because printing uses paper and ink.
