Does animal testing happen everyday

Animal testing is heavily regulated in the UK and the US (among other countries), and cosmetics tested on animals are certainly illegal in UK and some other European countries; the European Union is gradually phasing out cosmetics that have been tested on animals in other countries too.

It should be noted that drugs/medicines are required by law to be tested on animals before they are even considered for human testing in the UK, US and Japan (among others). In the UK, this can include cosmetics with medical uses, such as Botox or anti-ageing creams.

Britain is thought to be the highest user of animal testing in Europe.
