How do you unlock bowser jr on mariokart wii?

you have to get a star rank on each retro 100cc cup [retro cups are the four at the bottom] then you will unlock him.

if you love medium size characters[like i love them] bowser jr is the perfect character to use i use him ALL THE TIME
