Can you get sun burned through car windscreen?

yes you can

the ultra violet light that causes sun burns can pass through glass. Sometimes it is even more dangerous because the light is magnifying when it reflects off shiny surfaces. just make sure the face is covered either with sun tan lotion or with clothing and you should be fine
