I would try sun in (though no guarantee that would work). If all else fails bleach is your friend (bleach and then dye it brown) (steps are below):
*If its black you will have to give it a bleach
bath, which is bleach mixed with a shampoo that you massage for 5 minutes, or more depending on how light you want to go & how strong the black locked in.
*Then recolour it with a demi aka. semi colour to make it the brown you want; (to achieve desired colour mix colour under an above desired color number
with developer).
*If thats confusing, then you're better off going to a
reliable hairor go back to the salon you went to and complain.
*(Colour stripper is just a fancy Word for bleach so don't use it. plus you have to recolour anyway to achieve a true colour unless your happy with copper or yellow or green tones.)
*A good stylist prefers you to be honest about their work, instead wasting their time afterwards to fix it up.
*Don't be scared to complain because they value your business and want you to come back unless they're sweaty Betty's from around the corner.
*An alternative to bleaching if it worries you, the get foils to lighten the look.
*A good idea is to also do a strand test to see what your hair can tolerate to ensure no breakage or damage.
*Cut a piece of hair from the back, under the layers, sticky-tape up one end to hold strands together and bleach it.
