How do you take something off your favorites and history bar for the iPad?

To remove an item from your Favorites or History bar on an ipad, open the Safari app and tap the bookmarks icon (the open book). For Favorites, navigate to the Favorites tab, swipe left on the item you want to remove, and tap "Delete." To clear an item from your browsing history, go to the History tab, swipe left on the desired entry, and select "Delete."
