How do you admit to a lie?

well if it is to a girl or boy friend i would suggest you say babe, I'm sorry but i lied to you about something and i have to tell you. i hope you forgive me. than tell what you lied about and say I'm really sorry but you shouldn't be lying in the first place and if you wouldn't of lied you wouldn't have to admit to it now would you? no!
