Who is the narrator of un oso y un amor?

The narrator never identifies himself by name, nor do any of the other characters call him by name. He's a 15 year old boy, the friend of Abelito Sanchez, Clorinda Chávez and Shirley Cantel... especially Shirley. He's actually the very humble hero of his own narrative.
