When did people start using clay?

Clay-made objects have been found dating back up to 26 000BC, so someone around that time must have discovered clay could be molded when wet, and by letting it dry it would harden but maintaining its form.

Since clay is a ceramic, one could say that's when ceramics were invented. Though new kinds of ceramics are being invented everyday, but the first of the first was probably at that time.
