Why should possums be killed?

Relating to brush possums: Possums can become a pest, going through rubbish bins, damaging fruit trees and eating other produce. If relocated, they can return from around 10km away from their home. Those that don't return often die through stress. Shooting possums therefore solves the problems more humanely and quickly. Other possums: are rarer and don't typically bother humans.
