Is food grade silicone spray safe?

Some silicone baking gear can off-gas at high temperatures which can be a threat to pet birds, create an offensive odor and transfer an undesirable flavor to the food. The quality of the silicone pans is highly variable and one should ascertain the quality prior to purchase or use. If you acutely bend the silicone pan and see a white color showing from the interior it would be wise to be cautious in the pans usage since these colors are from filler (mostly titanium which is inert) but which can have impuities.
