They are Excellent at hiding. They can also burrow under things to hide thier smell. Have you ever noticed that thier eyes are in the sides of thier head, not the front like cats and dogs? That's part of the reason. They can see almost all the way around them, so it's easy for them to tell where predators are. They also have a keen sense of smell.
