Why is elephant is the election symbol of bahujan samaj party?

because elephant looks big in size.it was parampujniya manywar kanshiram's idea which he must have taken from America's republican party...it has the same symbol.also sometimes stated that elephant eat leafs of pipal tree...which shows eating upper caste(those who oppress sc/st/obc) people.
