Antony is mentally and emotionally shaken by Caesar's murder by the conspirators because he is very close to him. He can't leave without Caesar. He find it the best place and time to die with Caesar. So he offers himself to be killed by the conspirators at that place and time. He sees that it is useless to remain alive after his death as he is very near to him. So he says so as it would attain glory to be dead by Caesar's side.
