It is said that having a BMI under 18 is classed as underweight and a BMI over 25 is classed as overweight. 24 isn't bad for an eight year old as you have to have put in her height and weight in order for this to work. However you will need to make sure she eats the right diet and cuts down on snacking (if she does) and high in fat/sugary foods in order for her to not reach that 25 mark. Try taking her for long walks, or even swimming just to burn off some fat she may be carrying. Please dont worry about this as she is perfectly normal as her BMI is not over 25. I hope this helps
