How many types of cheethas?

There are five recognized subspecies of cheetahs: the African cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus jubatus), the Asiatic cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus venaticus), the Northeast African cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus soemmeringii), the Northwest African cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus hecki), and the Southern African cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus jubatus). Each subspecies has adapted to different environments across Africa and parts of Asia. The most well-known is the African cheetah, while the Asiatic cheetah is critically endangered.
