A hamsters drinking a lot is this a problem?

It could mean that your hamster might dislike it's food, or maybe it is an early case of dehydration. When I had my hamster it drank 2-4 times a day, so if you feel that your hamster might be infected and that is why it is drinking water so frequently, you should see a veterinarian. Try changing foods and if you hamster still drinks a lot, see a vet.
