During Sir Francis Drake's circumnavigation of the globe from 1577 to 1580, out of the original crew of about 150 men, only 59 survived the journey. The voyage faced numerous hardships, including harsh weather, disease, and conflicts, which contributed to the loss of life. Although exact numbers may vary, it is estimated that around 90 crew members died during the expedition.
