How do you prograre your dish remote without a code?

You can program the DISH Network remote without the remote code, this can be done by completing a Power scan. I have included instructions to further assist you.

With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button (In this case the mode button will might be "TV") until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

1. Press and release the Power button.

2. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment.

Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.

3. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

After completing the power scan to program the DISH Network remote to your T.V the remote should now work, you can try turning the volume up or down or powering the TV on or off.
