Will it hurt the engine in your 600 Honda shadow if you hole saw the baffles?

The baffle is only there to lower the dB's on the exhaust so that the motorcycle can meet noise standards. I have a 2007 CBR 600RR and removed the baffle completely without any repercussions to the engine's performance or reliability.
