Who founded XM Radio?

XM Radio was founded by Hugh Panero and several partners in 1992. The company was established to provide satellite radio services and was one of the first to offer a subscription-based model for radio broadcasting. XM Radio officially launched its service in 2001, becoming a pioneer in satellite radio technology. It later merged with Sirius Satellite Radio in 2008 to form SiriusXM.
