Can god be disappointed in you?

Well, it depends on your religious beliefs. If you believe in an omnipotent, all-knowing god who judges you for your actions, as many Christians, Jews, and Muslims do, then sure, you would believe that god can be disappointed in you.

Personally, I believe that it's important to live life by your own moral standards, not in fear of divine wrath. Do what you think is right, not what you think will please a man in the sky who may or may not exist. * To be disappointed means that ones expectations have not been met...For instance, when my daughter comes home with a report card that has grades below her ability. I become disappointed because her grades are below her ability which surprises me. The Great News is that God can not be disappointed in me or anyone! The reason being is because God is outside of time, therefore nothing is a surprise to a God who is outside of time! God is all knowing...He is not surprised by anything. Which means we don't need to live life feeling guilty!
