I JUST ASK THE DUDE THAT WORK ON MY Jeep THE SAME AND HE EXPRESSED FIRMLY...NO! YOU CAN NOT RUN IT WITH OUT THE CONVERTER..SORY I SURE WANTED MY OFF ALSO
