What was the first year the 3 legged buffalo nickel was made?

1937 was the first and only year this coin was made. It was an error, not a regular issue. The problem occurred because of a botched attempt to repair a damaged die. A Mint employee polished the repair so strenuously that one leg of the buffalo was removed.
