Why do real estate agents put their photo everywhere?

Who hasn't asked themselves this very same question? Realtors have long been known for this type of self-marketing. Although I would not criticize their efforts, especially in today's tough market, one might also ask the question, why do they so rarely resemble the pictures on their cards? Basically the reason they put their pictures everywhere is because when people are looking to buy or sell their home, a picture can have the effect of making a realtor a "real person". When buyers and sellers meet several, the picture can help them remember who it was that made them feel most comfortable.
