Can you get gold tattoos

In a way - yes. You can get a tattoo using gold coloured ink, which provides the same effect. However, because gold is a heavy metal and toxic to us it cannot be safely introduced to the bloodstream - you probably won't find any licensed tattoo artist willing to use an ink containing real gold because of the potential health risks.

Colours like Eternal True Gold, or Intenze Golden Rod are (in my experience working with the tattoo industry) two of the best options for a realistic gold colour in a healed tattoo.
