Who was imhopten?

Imhotep was an ancient Egyptian polymath who served as a chancellor to the Pharaoh Djoser during the Third Dynasty, around 2650–2600 BCE. He is best known as the architect of the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, which is considered one of the earliest large-scale cut stone constructions.
