Who were the alliance during World War I?

The 'allies' during World War 1 refers to Triple Entente (Britain, France, Russia and after Russia was kicked out, USA). The Triple Alliance however was Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. Be careful not to get the two mixed up.
