Who made the grass?

The same question could be asked about any plant or animal organism. There are two schools of thought about the origin of life (grass or otherwise). Either it was magically created by God, as described in The Bible, or it evolved, as described by Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Grass for use in lawns is a product of selection and breeding. In the past people noticed that different species of grass had different forms of growth. By selecting close growing grasses of the fescue species and mixing them with fast growing poa species and hard wearing bents, different mixtures of grasses were developed to suit different situations and purposes. By altering the percentages different types of lawn can be grown suitable for different uses, such as sports grounds, Golf, Bowling or decorative lawns etc.
