What can be used to lubricate electric clippers?

If they are outside clippers for hedges etc. I would use a grease of some kind, perhaps even a spray grease. If they are like hair clippers like a barber uses, I would use something like graphite like you use on your auto locks. Be careful though because it is very oily and can ruin your clothes. Avoid using WD 40 for these kinds of things because it can attract dust to the mechanism where you spray it. I worked in a hardware store for many years, that is how I know some of these things.
