How are rifles stacked?

The military may "stack arms" when in the field, soldiers need to put down their weapons for an extended time, but you don't want to lay the rifle on the ground. 3, 4, or 5 rifles are grouped into a tripod, either using a hook on the rifle (called a stacking swivel) or by sticking the barrels of two rifles through the sling of a 3rd.
