Why girls are jealous of their mothers?

Because they can see all the great things about their mom. And most likely are compared often to them. They may not know who they are yet and are trying to figure that out. And see their mother who is often just as flawed as they are in yet has accepted themselves flaws and all and people ( in the child opinion) seem to like her better and gravitate towards her.But what it all bowels down to is that the child doesn't know herself well enough to be secure in who they are and not compare herself to her mom or anyone else.
