It is very difficult to tell if turtles are pregnant or not. You may notice that your female turtle has a slight bulge in her shell or the shell looks wider. She will also eat less or be obsessed with digging. If your sexually mature female is kept with a sexually mature male of the same species then they will mate, no doubt about it.
