Westinghouse Electric Company is an American company, originally founded by George Westinghouse in 1886. It has undergone various changes in ownership over the years, including a period of bankruptcy and acquisition by foreign entities. As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, it is owned by Brookfield Business Partners, a Canadian investment firm, which means it is not wholly American-owned at this time.
