What is the age of a Winchester super x1 serial M39427?

There were roughly 88,000 SX-1's made from 1974 thru 1981. The serial number puts your gun a "stage 1" (stg 2 and 3 were made also) gun. My guess would be around 1976-78 as to when your gun was made John.
