Is Reader's Digest really going out of business?

No, but they have been in need of restructuring for many years. there preachy tone of writing, obsession with ugly stuff such as ( heroically managed accidents) and so on, well the Cold-war orientation of much of the material is, pointedly-obsolete. a new tack is clearly needed.
