Can a tourist rent a car in California for 2 months?

I don't see any reason why not. So long as thier identity is verified, and they pay the rental fee, they shoul dbe able to use the car for as long as they need. Of course - if the customer keeps the car longer than the two months without good reason, the rental company can simply report it stolen !
