Did bay max die in big hero 6?

In "Big Hero 6," Baymax does not die in the traditional sense, but he sacrifices himself to save Hiro and the city from the villain, Yokai. He uses his final energy to defeat the antagonist and is destroyed in the process. However, at the end of the film, Hiro manages to recreate Baymax by using the data from his healthcare chip, allowing Baymax to return in a new form.
