How did the Bola work?

The bola is a traditional throwing weapon used primarily by indigenous peoples in South America, designed to entangle the legs of animals. It consists of weights, often made of stones or metal, attached to the ends of a cord. When thrown, the bola spins in the air, and upon impact, the weights spread out, wrapping around the target's legs and immobilizing it. This technique allowed hunters to capture animals without the need for firearms or traps.
