What is yellow leaver between front seats under mat in Renault espace?

The handle is there to release the electric parking brake if it fails to release and sticks on. Lift the flap in the floor panel and pull the handle upwards, this should release the parking brake.

You can then Drive the vehicle but note NO HANDBRAKE to park leave in gear with foot brake on before turning off the ignition. Otherwise you will have a runaway!!!

Oh estimated cost to reset it all £500.00 or spondooolics!!!!!!
