Lotion itself does not enter the bloodstream. But, it has been proven, that some of the toxic ingredients in lotions can and have been found in blood cells, fat cells and tumors. It is important to know your ingredients and use non toxic lotion. Lotion is designed to stay on and soak into skin, unlike other beauty products that are washed off. Regular hand or body lotion will simply absorb into dry skin. It does not go into the bloodstream. If you have an allergy to fragrances or coloring you may have a reaction to different lotions or if you have a cut or cracked skin it may burn a little due to the alcohol that is in lotion (to speed drying) but it is harmless.
