Brake servos, also known as brake boosters, enhance the braking force applied by the driver. They use vacuum pressure from the engine or, in some cases, an electric pump to amplify the force exerted on the brake pedal. When the driver presses the pedal, the servo creates a pressure difference, which assists in pushing the brake master cylinder more effectively, resulting in stronger braking with less effort. This system improves safety and control by allowing for quicker and more responsive braking.
