Why did archduke franz Ferdinand and his wife get assassinated?

because the Serbs of Bosnia wanted independence but the Archduke didn't let them.So Gavrilo Princip (who is part of the black hand gang) shot him in the neck and also shot his pregnant wife in the stomach.They both died.
