How do I get the mothball smell out of my wash machine?

If unit is a top loader, try 1- 8 oz cup vinegar with a full water level warm wash. Let unit run a wash cycle only and stop and let set over night, then restart wash cycle, with same water and let unit complete full cycle. If front loader try 1/2 - 4oz cup of vinegar and do heavy wash cycle, using hot water setting, let unit complete cycle.
