How do you get the eighth badge on Pokemon platinum?

The 8th badge can be obtained in the Sunyshore city gym. Volkner is a force to be reckoned with as his Pokemon are generally only weak to ground types. Torterra would be a good match up in this gym, but beware of some of the ice moves.
