You caught your son wearing nail polish?

One night I was gone for work, but i came home early. My son was in my bathroom with the door cracked and i couldn't see in from the outside. I looked through the crack and saw my son painting his nails red and white. Idk if i should have talked to him about this or not? A couple nights later he repainted them after taking it off for school and was wearing my skirts and dresses. Ladies? i need ur help. should i talk to him about it, buy him wat kind of stuff he wants. Is he gay. answer: How will you feel if I say "Yes, he's gay?" If you are angry at him, or worse, you need to talk to someone else before you talk to him. I suggest contacting PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays). They're a volunteer group of parents who have been through exactly what you're going through, and they will help.

Now that the "gay" thing is out of the way, here are some other possibilities:

1. He's experimenting. Lots of boys entering puberty do this, and it's nothing to worry about. Like they say, "it's a phase."

2. He's a transvestite. Transvestites are people who get sexually turned on by wearing clothes, makeup, jewelry, hairstyles, etc. usually associated with the opposite sex. Most transvestites are actually heterosexual men.

3. He's just messing around, and there's really nothing sexual going on.

My suggestion: make sure he knows you love him, and that you are not freaked out by gay men, transvestites, or teenagers. If he knows you saw him, you should probably talk to him, just enough to reassure him you're not upset. Don't press him, but let him understand that you are willing to listen and that you're on his side.
