Does a cbt bike test teach you how to use gears on a bike?

Compulsory basic training is not a test, it is an assesment to ensure you are safe and the onus is on the training school to teach and impart knowledge to you. We assume you know nothing & start with: this is the front wheel, this is the back wheel, etc.

As long as you have chosen to do cbt on a geared bike then the correct riding technique for clutch control and gearchanging will be taught.

Please note though, it will be slightly harder to get you up to standard than it would on an auto, so there is a slight risk that you may have to return for a small amount of extra tuition (the majority of cbt customers would not need this though).
