How to make a VLC shortcut to open 'directshow' webcam?

To create a VLC shortcut for opening a DirectShow webcam, first right-click on the VLC shortcut icon on your desktop and select "Properties." In the Target field, add the following after the existing path: --v4l2-dev /dev/video0 (replace /dev/video0 with the appropriate device path for your webcam). Click "OK" to save the changes.
