Do you have to drop the gas tank on a 1994 Dodge Dakota to replaced the fuel filter or can you remove the bed to do it?

AnswerThe fuel filter is on top of the gas tank and the tank has to be lowered to get to it

or you can take the truck bed off with 8 bolts, plus 3 in the gas cap, slide it back and get to the fuel pump that way. I prefer the second method.
