What is the difference between Tricare and Champva?

TRICARE is the Department of Defense's health insurance plan for military personnel and their families. TRICARE replaced the program known as CHAMPUS. TRICARE offers three different health care plans. CHAMPVA is the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is the government's health insurance program for veterans with 100% service-related disabilities and their families.
